It’s no secret that I love to create. There is something about creating something from the ground up - a business, a recipe, a cake, art - that is both centering and uplifting at the same time. You can feel a tremendous “rightness” in the moment and also see all of the possibilities to come. When one of those possibilities (or more) calls to you, other things inevitably must get left behind.

2020 gave me clarity about the life I want to build with my family... and what was required in order to make it a reality.

Originally Eat Free Foodie was a place for me to share my creativity with the world, I’m the form of my cooking. As different possibilities called to me, I pursued them. I don’t regret any of it. But now it is time to pivot and grow again.

And I’m so excited about it.

We’re bringing back the recipes (yay)!

Every once and awhile I’ll have some crafts for sale (resin, candles, seedlings) to spread some joy.

I’m in the process of rebranding and figuring it all out at the moment. Stay tuned for more... including some recipes coming at you this week!

I was really hoping that I would never have to do this, but as I cannot control the actions of others...

My husband came into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 this past weekend. He was masked and distanced, and it was outdoors, but in an abundance of caution and recognizing our responsibility to everyone around us, we will be quarantining for the recommended 14 days, and pausing orders via @gatherarizonaexpress and @thephxsampler until 1/18.

If you have placed an order, we have reached out to reschedule or refund you as needed. While it makes us sad that we cannot get our treats to you quickly, we respect you and your health, wellness, and life too much to put it into jeopardy.

Please remember that everytime you are indoors with people outside your household, masked or unmasked (though especially unmasked), you put yourself at risk, and you also put others at risk too. I understand the need and desire to spend time with people, but we need to see past ourselves and look to our responsibility to our fellow people. It is the only way to get through this. You never know who you could indirectly come into contact with, and how it can affect them.

Stay home. Wear a mask. Get vaccinated.
